Substrates
Aluminium / Di-bond
A commercial alternative to zinc with the lettering and background colour being printed on a self-adhesive vinyl which is then mounted on an aluminium or di-bond substrate. This process offers absolutely no limitations to the detail of the image. The application of a high gloss, matt or textured laminate creates the required finish.
The textured finish is extremely popular with those looking for a traditional end product. The laminate is a cost effective alternative for medium and large signs which is also extremely durable in all weather conditions making it suitable for all locations.
Cast Bronze
A perfect option for those that wish to preserve the heritage and traditional appearance of any golf club! A cast bronze display is extremely strong and resistant to marking or scratching making it a common choice when selecting mow over markers.
Although it is suited to most environments cast bronze will require regular maintenance to ensure its condition and legibility.
Stainless Steel & Brass
Typically used in the clubhouse for small sign requirements and plaques. Our craftsmen then engrave from the highly polished surface with the required colouring being used as filler.
There are stainless steel options available for any outdoor requirements.
Etched Zinc
Ideal for those seeking an up-market, traditional appearance with all lettering and detail standing tall and proud of painted background creating strength in depth and definition.
Perfect for small and medium sized panels in most locations, however it can show slight signs of early deterioration in extreme locations such as links courses.
Granite Engraving
Special masking and blasting techniques provide the engraved appearance prior to being specifically enameled.
Granite engraving is particularly suited to all exposed locations as it is an extremely durable alternative.
Sub-surface Acrylic
Another option without limitations when considering graphical details which is combined with a high level of durability due to the image being mounted on the back of the acrylic.
The image gives a deep appearance as the graphic is led away from the face with all edges being beveled and polished.
Particularly suitable for adverse weather conditions and is perfect for small and medium signs, especially commemorative plaques.
Sub-surface GRP
Offers everything the Acrylic variant offers and more.. The UV protective layer not only protects the printed material from the sun's rays it also makes the finish less susceptible to scratching and general impact, an ideal solution for signs displaying points of interest and works well across all sizes.
Traditional Engraving
An impeccable alternative for those wishing to retain their traditional feel, the engraving tends to work well in all locations and the paint filling is extremely resilient. Timbers and re-cycled plastics can all be engraved and filled as requested.
Vitreous Enamel
An absolutely magnificent option for those in exposed location particularly in warmer climates.
A highly polished effect is achieved through fusing glass particles to sheet metal or cast iron when heating it to temperatures in excess of 800°C. The end product is extremely hard-wearing to all of the elements.
Not only is it chemical resistant and offers exceptional colour stability it is also temperature resistant (up to 800°C). It is not the cheapest option when compared to other flat panel solutions.
Western Red Cedar Effect
The natural beauty of this wondrous material produces pieces of stunning effect with lettering and graphics created with special masking and blasting techniques which removes the background to leave the remaining artwork that only then needs to be stained to produce the end piece.
Remarkably durable in most locations without the need for excessive maintenance, however it could require more up keep in exposed locations.
