What is Accoya®?
Accoya® wood is a high performance timber which almost completely eliminates its ability to absorb water. This in turn makes it a very stable and durable wood. This incredible wood is the result of 80 years’ research and development which culminates in one of the most durable and sustainable woods. Perfect for use in our high quality tee signage and outside golf furniture. Accoya® starts life as Radiata Pine, before being modified by acetylation which changes the chemical structure right through the wood. This process introduces chemicals already found in the timber, so it is a completely non-toxic process. Due to this remarkable process Accoya® truly is the future of wood and is ideal for outdoor use and challenging applications.
